Almost made a splash!

Went Squiding last night and got about 50 or so, They now await in the deep freeze till June for the start of the Fluke season!

Was a cold night out there on the docks, with a stiff West wind right in the face!
I need some more and I have a buddy thats going to brave the docks for me every night this week to be sure I have pleanty for the season!!

The we decided that we would take the boat out for a small fishing trip, and splash down of the season.
I really wanted to do this cause I wanted no surprises when June comes, I just want to fish!!

But the wind Gods were not on my side, when we got to the ramp, started looking out to sea only to get that SW wind in the face and 2 to 4 foot white caps!

Well I took a beating on the docks last night for the squid last night and was not looking forward to another, so we called it off *>:(

But the boat got a 6 mile ride, $60 in gas and is back in the yard till June.

Note I keep saying June, thats because thats when I am able to get back in the water cause of this surgery.

By the way Doc says I will be able to walk lightly in time for Hammers Party!! *;)
