New old stock voltage regulator

Just received my new/old stock voltage regulator. My question is this ( I always have a question). According to the instructions I’m supposed to use a ground stap that’s provided. My voltage regulator that’s on now doesn’t have a ground stap. Should I put it on the or leave it the way it was?

If u can get a ground strap on it I would do it. Can't hurt to have too many grounds right?
