Question Not a report - Is it as bad as I hear?

I haven't seen report in a while, is that because the fishing is as bad as I hear from a few friends, yeah I said few, that's all I got is a few, or it's because gas is to high and fishing is down to once in a while instead of once a week?
I said it before and I'll say it again I miss MY FREAKING BOAT and especially getting out there.

Guy's/Ladies enjoy the water.

Not bad at all. Fluke are heading into the summer doldrums. We’re getting a decent pick of fish on the incoming with the cooler water. Some chubby shorts with the occasional keeper. Tons of little blues in the bay under the peanuts. Spanish are making their way in. Lots of little sharks under the bunker in 20-40 feet of water. Tons of cobia being caught but none by me. BFT 3-5 miles off, also none by me. More bait in the water than I’ve seen in a decade. Some weakies coming in on live peanuts while drifting for fluke, if you can find a nice, cloudy day. My kid fishes the dock lights at night and he’s slamming some good size stripes. Magnolia pier is producing enough action to keep the kids busy.
I know I’ve been off the water for a while but we have yet to get skunked.
That said, we were drifting the incoming inside Jones the other day and I have never in my life seen so many searobins. We were using hi-lo chicken rigs and we were pulling in double doubles all day. We must have boated 50-60 searobins to about 8-10 fluke. The Spanish were crashing spearing at the north end of the inlet. So much bait in the water you could crowd surf on them.
And there’s your report. Let me know if I left anything out.
