Cool

I can state positively from experience that a 65hp engine will not plane a V. It gets real close, you can feel her want to get up, but it just doesn't do it. The extra 5 horses of a 70 "might" just be enough.

If you want yo go small I would get nothing smaller than a 115 now I'm not saying a 70 hp won't get you on plain but you won't like it, destroyer knows a lot more than me and I mean ALOT MORE but a 115 is the smallest I would get. Are you just cruising around a lake? Than a 70 might work for you. And you have to take this into account, let's say you want to sell it down the road, who will buy it with a 70 hp? But with a 115 it will be sold.
