They are remarkably stable rough water boats. Not surprisingly they were designed by Hunt. I love my little 16.5 foot Airslot.

Hmmm... I have to look that up again. Could have sworn that I read a memoirs by one of his (Hunt's) kids that said that Hunt designed it and that he worked on the sponsons for several models. Maybe it was Cole.. Gotta look.

Regardless, I still love mine :)

Bradford, you are correct. Cole designed the "cathedral" hull and then later on designed the "airslot" hull for Wellcraft. While similar they are actually very different in performance. Good catch. Thanks
