Finally getting some keepers

Went and trolled for some stipers today in the lower Chesapeake. 20” limit, 2/guy. We got 6 keepers and probably threw back 35 17-19 inchers. Good sign they’re moving on down the bay. Big boys should be here soon.

Same here. I’m not really much of an angler but I do enjoy fishing. I often read through here trying to catch on some tips and pointers. I’ve always been a buzz fisherman. Go out, toss an anchor wherever the sun feels the best, drop a line and crack a beer open. But this past year I’ve been offshore tuna fishing, chummed for cobia and trolled for some striper and it’s definitely way more interesting to say the least.
