Default Hook 2 lowrance

I'm not sure if I'm in the right section for this This is the question I just installed the hook 2 from lowrance on my boat that's on a trailer and not in the water, can I turn on the unit with out damaging the unit or transducer , If you don't know I understand I'm going to try to contact lowrance Thanks

In my opinion, it's not good to turn them on out of the wzter. It's okay to do it just for a few seconds to turn it to simulator mode, but I wouldn't do it for more than a few seconds to do that. I was told by them before it wouldn't hurt them, but I see no reason to take a chance.

Thanks ferm I did turn it on for a few sec, on simulator just to see if I had power ,it's good to go,now when I'm in the water I hope it's not on simulated cause I don't know how to turn off simulator, they don't even give you a owners Manuel they say Ho on line This world is crazy,
