Replacement Back to Back Seats?

Hello to all. I have just renewed my membership in the Wellcraft V20 club. I just bought a 87 Cuddy. 6-8 years ago I had a 90 Cuddy. It's good to be back

I have many projects to work on, one of which is needing to replace the back to back seat. The base height on the one I took out was 16". Everything I see as a replacement says a 10" base height. That seems like a lot to give up. I would think it would sit noticeably lower. Has anyone else replaced their seat and what did you find? Thanks.
