I've got a 98 200 Ocean pro, carbed, with the system check gauges. Last week I changed the plugs, racor filter, and repaired my tilt trim. Yesterday I started it up and the check engine light went on and the alarm sounded. I looked online and read that it meant a fuel restriction so I said screw it and headed out to see how she ran. Well the boat ran better than all summer, I actually picked up about 3 knots on the GPS at wot. If there wasn't a single stumble I'm just wondering what to even look for? I replaced all the fuel lines to the engine from the tank last summer and never had an issue. I used brp hose and their primer ball, not the cheap stuff.
Another issue I have is with the no oil sensor. The sensor works fine but the jelly that hold the two wires into the sensor fell out and allowed one wire to come off causing the sensor to go off. I popped the wire back on and it was all good for the ride in. I've tried looking online for the sensor but it seems that this is part of the OMS. That true or do I need to dig a little deeper?
