Good luck. I'll most likely be out on Sunday.

Fished yesterday, Saturday as planned starting at 1pm with the high tide in Shark River for flatties.
Nope, just a few bites, nothing and only saw one short caught from other boats.

Although wind had already shifted S, we went outside, headed south, and started trolling for stripers off Manesquan Inlet.
Got lucky and " fish on " that hit the large white spoon trolled in approx. 65' water.
Boated this nice 33" fish, trolled for another 1/2hr or so, and again, hit in same location, on same white spoon. This one considerably bigger as my son brought in and we finally sank the gaff into a big thick fish........30 lb class.

Rode in real easy following sea, back inside the river by 5pm.
Great day, lots of striper fillets.

Nice report.
I heard about some 40s off Lavalette. That means we should have three solid weeks of live-lning.

I have a transom now, just have to glass it all back together and clean the oak pollen stains.
Still have a busy schedule so I might miss the prime bunker snagging weeks.

I pretty much give up on fluke except in the river on windy days.
The cod should turn on out at Shark River reef any day now.

I will be ready for sharks/tuna/mahi by the end of June

Skunk - I'm envious ( not jealous ) of the cod you pull from Sh R Reef......

I fished it hard for cod one time, and nada, nothing, even though I worked to position right over the bumps that had fish marking.

Good for you, that's some great fishing, and cod are one of the best eating fish around.
