Cheaper than Gopro action cam (review with video)
Ive wanted a Gopro for some time but to be honest cant swing that kinda $$. I wanted something that was durable and had lots of mounting options for fishing, boating, riding, etc... I had been looking at lots of reviews and research about the SJ Cam 4000 with wifi.
Well it still wasnt a top priority but my wife surprised me with it for my birthday last week. Here is a collection of some various video clips over the last week or so. Its random stuff just playing around with different conditions. Im very happy with it for what I wanted it for. They can be had for well under $100 with WIFI and multiple mounts. Also all the Gopro mounts fit it so thats a plus. It has its own water proof housing (no swapping gopro housings due to button locations). Anyways here it is if anyone is interested in getting one. It will soon find its way onto the shaft of a flounder gig as well. :beers: EDIT there is a significant loos in video quality when converting to youtube. on my TV at home the HD looks incredible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPcA...ature=youtu.be

I was wondering about the SJ. Turns out that even the Chinese knock-off stuff now has knock-off stuff.. I ordered mine, I didn't give a crap about wi-fi $69 and it has a color LCD screen like a digital camera so you can see what your shooting..Advantage over the GO-Pro. I am flying drones and don't want to risk a crash of a $350 go-pro.

looks great stink. what editing software do you use? gopro has a pretty good one, but it's clumsey on the ipad and my old desktop is to slow. looking for something easy for the techno challenged.
ps maters coming along nicely

I love windows movie maker. I also like using it to condense for time lapse from full video rather than using the time lapse funtion. Ive used this feature for my other HD camcorders as well. It makes a nice, clean and seamless flow.
