Friend has a 200 HPDI small block. Cranks but doesn't start, it has spark, good pressure from the VST and is reading about 650-680 on the HPFP when cranking. Also has 135psi on the cylinders. No codes for open fuel inejector or anything like that. So I assumes the injector drivers are good.
I always thought the HPFP pressure should be closer to 1000. Any thoughts. I am about to spray some fuel down into the throttle bodies to confirm the engine is too lean to start. |

the smaller hpdi's only put out about 700 psi. The bigger ones with twin pumps put out closer to 1000. Try spraying fuel in the throttles. Maybe you have water in your fuel. Injector driver failure will not show on the laptop. you are going to have to check for voltage at the injector. I forget how much voltage off the top of my head. But I want to say it's somewhere around 30vdc at each injector.
