Went for my first colonospy thur. they found a mass, took bi op and blood now on cancer watch till wed when i see the doc.
If cancer that will kill the transplant.

Ya, but if I recall an old conversation with my doctor correctly, if it is cancer that will explain the need for dialysis and the possible need for the transplant. The one effects the other. My mom had colon cancer. They cut out the bad part, re-sectioned the tube and sent her home. That was over 35 years ago. She died of something totally different last year. Her kidneys were failing also, but after they removed the cancer that allowed the kidneys to heal and she never needed dialysis after all. Not saying that will happen, but it's a thought. Hang in the MJ.

Default Hang in there mj

Mucin Secreting Acidocarcinoma is the technical term they put on the type of colon cancer I had. Slow growing kind and best to be discovered and irradicated early. I had the resection in 1996. I was 26. When you hear those words for the first time, it is a bad day to say the least. I do know a little about it first hand, I lost my dad to colon cancer when he was 38 years old, I was 6. Runs in our family. I will never forget that day, my doctor knew it was cancer from the scope, he was so smug about it. I asked him how he could be sure? He said he had seen it many times before.. They put me in the hospital and a day later I was going under the knife. Recovery wasn't bad and I was back to work in 6 weeks. Year of chemo for me but it was a cakewalk. Insurance paid for 99.99% back then, THANK YOU AVMED!
So I have the "UP Periscope" procedure at about every 2 to 3 years. The cleanout is a hell of a treat ain't it? They find polyps and an occassional start of some cancer about every other time they go in.

So I feel for you and the missus. You keep your head up and remember, it may not be cancer at all.. It could be a cyst or numerous other things.. Maybe its a Snickers bar that has been stuck in there since you were a kid... OK, mental images cannot be unseen.... maybe I went too far..

Get fixed up, then call me if you want to fish on my boat. I don't recall if you currently have a boat.

My cell is 609-790-6226.

Here's the deal:
1. I fish mostly weekends, because I have to work to live.
2. I launch from behind Mac's B & Tackle in Belmar ( Neptune )
3. Troll, drift for stripers / fluke

If I'm going and don't already have a crew, fine with me. I usually fish alone anyway.

You would be surprised how much everything in your body effects your kidneys. I know that your diabetes was the primary cause, and how much damage it did, but sometimes it's the little straws that are the things that break the camels back. All I'm saying is don't give up hope MJ, because this might actually be a blessing in disguise. If the doc said it's in it's early stages, that probably means it hasn't gone through the colon wall yet, and in that stage it's one of the easiest and most successfully cured cancers. So hang in there. You have a ton of prayers going your way every day from all of us.

Don't know what to say, but hang in there MJ. You seem to be getting pretty good at it.

I keep praying for you.
