Default 1995 V21 in NJ for sale - The former "reelapeelin"

After 2 years of owning her, it's time to let her go to a new home. I needed a bigger cuddy for the kids/lady so I bought a 22' Mako walkaround. It will be a sad day when she sells as this is by far the favorite boat that I have owned to date. I will post pics in the coming days, the last 4 days have I have been fishing like crazy and she needs some soap before I snap the pictures! (Capt. Pete can verify as I passed him the other day on the way back from limiting out on Fluke). I will be listing her on craigslist shortly and the price will be higher but I wanted to let a V20 member have a shot at her for a good price first. Here is the listing that will be going online next weekend:

1995 Wellcraft V21 Steplift ***8211;21***8217; long with a nice 8***8217; beam. She is powered by a super-efficient 2004 Honda 150 four stroke outboard and comes complete with a galvanized dual axle trailer. Fuel tank holds 60 gallons of gas, tank was just pressure tested, cleaned and had a new fuel vent installed. Transom, floors and stringers are solid. The floor in the cuddy cabin was replaced 2 seasons ago (a known weak spots for wellcrafts of this vintage). Boat received brand new seats this year ($450 upgrade), has a new stereo system (spring 2011), VHF (spring 2011). Boat has onboard chargers for the batteries, 2 bilge pumps (both wired to separate batteries for added safety) and a live well. The boat is in overall good condition but she does have some cosmetic issues, various dings and scrapes from 18 years of service so please don***8217;t expect a brand new boat, she***8217;s not. (neither is her price) She is a solid fishing platform that my family and I enjoy regularly.

The 2004 BF150 Honda, the motor has approximately 550 hours on her. Motor was just serviced with a pressure test of the lower unit which checked out perfectly, all new fuel filters under the hood and a brand new racor 10 micron filter as well. Oil change, new spark plugs, Vapor separator tank and all fuel lines replaced within the last 3 months. No expense was spared in making sure she was running great. Fuel burn is extremely economical. Running from my home to 5 miles off of Seaside and back averages 15 gallons of fuel for the day. That is tremendous for a run from Kettle Creek, through the Point Pleasant Canal, out front and back.

The boat comes with a galvanized trailer which is older but I have personally put on over 1,000 miles in the last 2 years with her and never had any issues whatsoever. The dual axle trailer is outfitted with LED lights and bearing buddies.

NADA lists the boat with original power and no trailer for $6070 ***8211;(subtract $1180 for the original motor) They list the Honda for $5175- and the trailer for $530 ***8211; That***8217;s a total value of $10595.00 This boat is being priced well below NADA and market value given its newer four stroke power at $6500 for a quick painless sale.

The boat also comes with extras, bimini top, full enclosure that***8217;s in good shape and lots more. Unfortunately the time has come to get a bigger boat for me and my growing family so she has to be sold. $5500 firm for a V20 member..

I was about to say, "The motor alone is worth that" then I saw where you listed the price of the motor.....which isn't far off! Great price.....hope she stays in the WCV20 family!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures! If you weren't so far away from California, I would be tempted to buy your boat. I've got a clean 1980 V-20 with an I/O, and I've been thinking about investing in a top/enclosure for it. Since I'll probably spend a few thousand on the top alone, it might be better to buy one like yours that's already got one! And your boat is 15 year newer than mine...

Put it on ebay -- and let the bidding start at $ 7,500.....bet you get $ 8-9 for it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I got a great deal on her when I bought her and am trying to pass it along. The enclosure side windows will need to be refit to make it snug, the front window needs to be sewn on too, cheap to have done but I don't want to get into haggling so I set a price that I could live with. The bow mount trolling motor needs to come off as that's going back to ozzie and there will be some holes to patch. I just had the motor serviced for over $1600 as my buddy was going to buy it and I wouldnt want anything boat related or otherwise come between us. Unfortunately he totaled his work truck and can't swing the boat now. So...if you guys can pass the word around I would appreciate it. I truly love her but needed a little more cuddy room so I had to move on.

That's minor stuff....... I'd be on my way to check it out if I didn't already have one.
