Sorry Joe...my crazy sister put 'em on You Tube...we were just foolin' around at her beach house back in June...anyway...

No pre-cook, no pre-soak...NUTHIN'...4 mins PER EAR...8 mins for 2 ears...I personally haven't done more than 2 at a time so cannot say for sure, but HEAR more than two cooked at 4 min per works as well...4 MINS PER EAR...then cut the stalk end off and shake or pinch the silky end down until the cob drops out the bottom..it will be VERY HOT, completely cooked, moist, juicy and FREE of silks...might be one or two, but hey...live w/it...easiest, quickest way ever to do fresh corn...

My wife does them the same way and it works perfect. You can also put them on the top rack while you grill and get a similar result, but I'm never sure how long to let them go.

WE take the corn throw it in a cooler and pour in 2 pots of boiling water, close the lid and 30 miutes later it's ready to eat.

Great vids Oz. I've heard of the technique but never seen it til now.

Here is how we do corn on the grill (also works in the oven):

Soak inside the shuck in water for 15 minutes or however long, doesn't really matter. Remove from water, wrap in tinfoil. Put it on the grill for 30 - 45 minutes at around 350 or more, turning occasionally. The tinfoil isn't really necessary but it cuts down on the mess the shuck makes as it dries out and flakes off. Also, it is harder to OVERCOOK than you think so don't worry about that too much.
