Default water in the boat?

I just pumped out about 10 or 15 gals of water from the hole in the floor of the foward cudy?

Doesn't that water drain to the aft of the boat?

Do I have a blockadge some where?

What can I do to fix this?

As always Great thanks to this board...

There should be. You may need to snake it out.

1984 model had a piece of pvc pipe that went from the forwardmost compartment under the fuel tank and into the bilge.

I think the forward cuddy drains to the bilge (bottom of the boat) and then runs down into fiberglassed pipe that carries water under the fuel tank. That is probably where the blockage is. not sure how 85 i/o is configured but if it is like mine I would try to snake from the aft end of the fuel tank and snake up.

Does yours have an infloor livewell and do you use it? If not you may cut a hole in the bottom of it and check the forward end of the pipe that runs under the fuel tank. I had to do that to mine to get it to drain. It was stopped up with leaves. Do you have a deck plate just aft of the cuddy door, check in there if you do.

OOppps I didn't read all the ans..

Yes there is a drain in the cudy floor thats where I pumped the water from...
Yes i do have a live bait well, that I don't use, however I don't want to cut through it.

I'll just try the tank cover first...

Thanks

pulling up the tank cover wont show you anything except the top of your tank. Got to get at from behind.

If you pull your gas tank lid all you are going to see is this:

Sometimes a shot of compressed air in the pipe from the aft end towards the front works wonders ...especially if it's leaves that are causing the blockage.
