The first one with 20 some phones are the "TAKERS" that I can't stand!!!!! Useless!!!! Getting all the benefits for free that I pay good money for. Cell phones are a luxury, not a nessecity!! I guess when you have a good enabler you can have things like cell phones!!!!

Here in Mass. They have what they call Safelink, they give you a free phone and 100 min a month. You just need to be reciving food stamps or medical, or disability to get one.
They are pretty good on checking if you have a phone to limt it to one per house hold. My wife has one, and so did my mom when she retired. But i am sure there are others getting and abusing them!

I still don't own a cell phone. Hell, if it wasn't for the wifey, I'd turn off the one at the house too.

Here where I live there is no cell service.Ihave to drive at least 5 miles or so to get any service.I've tried many diffrent srevices and phone types.and the funny thing on a clear I can see a cell phone tower.It's just my location.I also don't have a land line either.Don't matter if I need to talk to someone I do it face to face.It's just a expence I don't need.I lead a pritty simple life just me and the dog.

Tyler Durden (Scottish Professor back in the 1600's I believe) said that a true democracy could never work long term because those in power would empty the government coffers in order to buy the votes of the people. The people would vote for those that promised to give them the most for the least. Once the takers outweigh the givers the system will ultimately fail.
We are getting mighty close to that threshold my friends. Long term I do not invest in gold. I invest in .223 caliber rounds.
