Default Fluke 2012 is OPEN

Yesterday was opening day. Got out there about 6am I say there were about 40 boats out there. It was Pete, Kenny, and I, The day was GREAT!! Wind was low as well as the sea, waves 1 foot or less, the Ox went great all day, from Fairheaven ramp to Lucas Shoals.
Fluke were slow to bite and I:knew that it was not going to be a commercial day from pretty early on. O well it was great the guys were great and we brought home 42 keepers for the table, Kenny got the first 2012 fish and later on the biggest of the day a nice 20" Fish. Lots of Sea Robins out there, I never remember getting any out there years ago and never so many? Looks like I am going to have to find some new places as this looks like after years of over fishing this is a new recreational spot, If you can get a few of the right size?
Went home about 11am as I got a call the wife was sick and headed for the ER in a ambulance.
Still no wind and flat sea, opened her all the way and the 12 mile run went real fast with out any issues! Man I love that HDPI!! Only getting 5200 rpm's should get a few more, but thats of for me, with 3 of us and 110 gal gas all gear e get 32 mph on the GPS. So we get on the trailer and head home. We get to my exit and get off HWY hear a weird noise? Sounds like something going around the tire? I say screw it we just 3 miles from home, get here and Kenny goes to watch as IA back in and says that I have a burned out wheel Bering, I say how do you know? He says its smoking and the rubber on the super lube dust cover is melted.
O well cleaned boat, Kenny took some fish home, Pete took the rest to clean at home and will give me some later in the week. I took off to see the wife and she is in ICU, sugar at 1100, body temp 90*, BP 78/50, with some kind of bleed going on?

So was a pretty full day to say the least! Can't wait till the next outting!

Hope your wife is doing OK....

I was out at Cleveland light later in the afternoon, it was getting windy and choppy. Also caught a couple of those ugly sea robins...
