Default Just bought a "new" V-20 - Anyone know a good canvas guy in VA Bch?

Picked it up this past week. Previous owner let it sit, invested a ton in the fuel system & engine to get it running right, and sold it to me. New trailer and the boat is completely rewired. Great deal!

Custom canvas looks like it was sitting for a long time. Canvas itself is in great shape, but some of the threads are rotten and it seems like it shrank a bit. Bimini hardware can use refreshing too... Anyone know a good canvas guy in VA Beach? I can change the hardware myself, but I figure I'd have to pay someone to repair the stitches anyway, so I may as well have someone freshen it up a bit.

good looking rig, i like all the canvas, give s you a lot more fishing days during the year. i am in fl, so can't help with a canvas shop, but as far as shrinkage, let it set in the hot sun for a while and see if you can strech it. when i set mine up for the first time, i usually have to do this to get it to fit.

I also notice you have a seadrive bracket. I have one for sale on vabeaches craigslist for 100.00 and its in perfect shape and been in fresh water only up on lake gaston. The deal is parts are hard to come by on those units. If you ever need parts or plan on keeping that seadrive mine might be a good investment for ya before it sells. FYI.

Thanks for the info! I'm actually in Chesapeake. Waiting to get a dry storage spot at the Little Creek base.

The Sea Drive adaption is a little funky, but it doesn't have too many negatives. Can't tilt the outboard up all the way (hits the bracket), and you don't get any flotation out of it. If the trim unit ever fails, I'll likely replace with a flotation bracket.

Thanks for the info on the curtains. I'll give them a shout.

It's a center console... Haven't even cleaned the plastic... lots of grime and some discoloring.
