Default New to forum

Hello everyone!! I am new to the forum. I am from virginia beach ,virginia and have fished all my life. What brings me here is that I was raised blue fin tuna fishing and wreck fishing for black seas bass and taugs on a v20 centerconsole. Im now 34 years old and own a 1989 24 Albemarle but oddly enough about 2 days ago I ran across a v20 center console with a ez-load trailer for FREE!!! Yea i said it right free!!! I am unaware of year and the trailer is in great shape it is pushed by a 76 135 evinrude. It seems like a 135hp is a little small to be on this set up. My dads v20 was powered by a 200 seahorse johnson and it handled very well.any advice is welcome and thanks in advanced.. the boat has a v type bench seat set up in the bow and my dads was just a flat step up if that helps narrow down the year of this boat

Take a look just under the rub rail on the starboard side of the transom...the boats HIN (Hull Identification Number) is molded into the fiberglass provided a previous owner hasn't done away with it...the last two NUMBERS are the year model.

The 135 should push a CC along pretty well, but loaded it'll never be speedy.
Just depending on what you want from a boat it may be adequate...run it for a while and if it doesn't measure up, start looking for a 150 minimum to replace.

Post up some pics of your new V-20 when you can...and welcome to the nut-hut...

Im not unfamiliar with spending money!!! I just repowered the Albe after burning the motor up during striper season. i have wanted to do a project boat for a while. I tried a 23 sceptre 2 years ago but sold before I was even able to start on it!!!!! I really happy about being able to give this wellcraft a second chance seeing how i was practiclly raised on a v20. my dad is pretty stoked too, he wants to ride in one again he misses the ole' KRACKER JACK hence the reason for my forum name
