Default Seastar Steering acting up

So while turning the wheel slowly to the right today it would ocassionally not move the motor. If i would move it faster, it would catch. To the left was fine.

Any ideas what this typically is.

The unit is 1.5 years old.

Most of the time it's air or not full on fluid that causes issues. I know mine wouldn't always turn unles I would sort of jerk it to kick the valve then I could slowly turn it.

I have a slow leak in the Seastar steering on my sportsman. What your describing is what mine does when low on fluid. Probably all you need is the $20 quart of steering fluid.
