Default New Dude

Hello new friends I am posting here for the first time. Truth is I don't even have a boat......Yet..... I was in a boat club for a few years and fell in love with the water and the freedom of being on the water. So I have limited experience boating and I am ready to take the next step. That said my boss (wife) has high demands so she is making the search a bit challenging.

So today I am looking for a boat and I stumbled on something that I really really liked. It was a 1979 Wellcraft V20. What a beautiful boat. I believe it is the answer to what my wife and I are looking for. So i did some research and what do you know I believe I found my next boat. It got better though. I also found this site. Might just be my new home. It seems like a great group of knowledgeable boat owners. I look forward to eventually offering some friendly advice but for now I will be borrowing yours.

Tim

You wont regret your decision. The V-20 is the perfect boat for new boaters (and experienced for that matter) Its not too large to be hard to handle but has ample room to keep you and your wife comfortable. On top of that whem people see you in it they'll think this guy has it together, look at the classic he is driving around in!

Good luck with the purchase. Feel free to run it by us if you are unsure about anything on it.

so since you don't have one yet, how about pictures of your wife???

Welcome, Tim. It's a good time to be buying a boat. Take your time and find the right one. Yes, this is a good site and a great group of folks. You won't find a lot of the bickering that goes on at some of the larger boating forums. Good luck with your search!
