Default Transom?

Is it really necessary to cap a poured fix with a metal cap? Seems the engine will sit fine on the fiberglass.

No, it is not necessary. In fact, several of our members have done the transom fix without the metal cap. Do a search of the site for pictures.

Thanks for the info Destro! Had to use a JI Joe similarity. Seems that the aluminum cap is a thing of the past. Kinda like the natural look of the fiberglass cap. This thing better float!!!! Thanks for the input you guys.
