Just putting this out there. Does anyone know what the original prop specs are that would have shipped with a new 1996 Johnson 150 OceanRunner (V6 , on a V20)is? Diameter and pitch if you please (aluminum). Thanks in advance.

When buying a new motor you don't get a prop, you need to tell them what you have for motor, then what you are putting it, let say V20, weight, and use.
Most the V20 are using a 17 pitch, when I had mine and used heavy loads I used 15 x 15 1/2, great out of hole and heavy loads but you lose on top end. Most any prop shop will get you close to what you need after you supply info, and have demo props for you to use to see if its the one you need.

Mj is about as close as you can get.
Look at this thread, close to the same engine. http://www.wellcraftv20.com/communit...hlight=numbers I still haven't bothered changing to the new 17" stainless, still have the 19" stainless on it. From what I remember, I also ran a Solas 14.8x17 AL before the posting the thread got a little higher rpms, and a couple of less mph. Keep it in the front of the boat for a spare. Boat handles a heavy load fine with the 19" stainless, just too sorry to change it.

Thanks guys...I just was curious if anyone bought a V20 with a new motor and what prop was on the motor for this particular boat.
