Unhappy Any Framers out there...Lumber ??

Hey guys, anyone ever deal with those fibrglass 6x6 post at all ??. The garage is done, except for painting the floor and adding in a beer mister for Lefty. So now I'm hoping to build a front porch roof. But the problem I have is that I dont know how to fasten a fiberglass post to the rafters. When using wood, simply shoot the nails with the gun. But with these new fiberglass/plastic post, I cant figure out how to secure them to the joist ??
Lumber...can ya help ??
Porch is 20x8. Pouring the pad on Tuesday. Hoping to have the roof built by October.
Pics. to follow.

Hammer those fiberglass colums are not structural they simply go rite over the 6x6 and the 6x6 just gets fastened in your standard way bolted and nailed , the even sell a split colum that can be put on when your all done your framing.....

I will look for some framing pictures and post them up so you'll get what I'm talking about.
