OK when it was posted in the off topic section that they had GPS for cheap I went here to buy one.
I made my selection and ordered it, But after reading it a bit harder I found that the Maps were not pre loaded and decided I did not want it.
I called Mike up and explained the deal and asked for a refund. He was very nice and offered me a few others at a great price. But I was not interested right then till I did some more research.
He understood and send they would be happy to return my money.
That was Nov. 26 2008 They never even shipped it out.

Now I have many emails here of asking were is my money?? I emailed a few times then I started to call him on the phone.
He stated he was having it refunded and that the best way to contact him was email.
I tried again before Xmas, and after New years, nothing?? So I called him and got a bit hot when he returned my call saying he is looking into it?? I said it was November and this is January!! On something that never left the building?

January 13 I sent him a email saying that if I did not hear from him saying I was refunded by Monday the 19th I would let him talk to my lawyers and file a small claims.
also that I own and run a boating site of more then 800 members and 1 of which I got the add from in the first place. I said that you all would hear of this and so would a few other sites I go to.

His last email was:
Joseph,
I have told you very clearly that I have been pursuing this with the appropriate department and I am a man of my word. When I have something that has some worth to report, I definitely let folks know.
I have relayed your concern to the head of accounting and with all hope, I think that will get it done.
I am working on your behalf and fully understand your frustration.


And won't you know I was paid the next day!! I for one will never go there again!! Just make sure you know what you want when you get it!!

For him to have to go to the "Head of Accounting" in order to get you a refund is BULL****...I bought 2 units from them and the girls are very happy w/them, but honestly I haven't checked them for maps...all other functions are great, but I'll have to look into the map thing...

You would know as it comes with a cd that you have to install from your computer.
Thats why I decided not to get it, and get one already preloaded.

O well I bought a Garmin and would have bought from him when i was ready, but having to wait from 11/26 till Jan, and having to threaten him to boot i said no way!!

Funny i say i want by monday or get a lawyer and let the boating world no about it and i had my money the next day?

man that's rough i've bought tons of items from them never an issue, been using them for almost 9 yrs never a problem. i can't say i'll stop due to the great deals i've always gotten but wished you had gotten better service

Turns out mine was preloaded...it's a 750 series and apparently they all come that way...happiness prevails!!
