Default High Rock Lake Fishing Report 8/16/08

This past Saturday we decided to do a little jug fishing at High Rock. I invited my Sister and her family in addition to my family, kids and all. The plan was to grill hotdogs on the dock while we watch the jugs for bites. Then when a fish bites jump in the Mckee craft to land the jug and hopefully the catch.

The plan went off without a hitch, however the hotdogs were a little late - we caught 3 nice channel cats before we could get the hot dogs started. They were all around 5 lbs or more. By then it was getting dark so my brother in law rounded up all 14 jugs as I got the hotdogs going.

The kids had a blast jumping on the boat to go catch the jugs. A good time was had by all.

**All fish were released after the pics**
p.s. we might eat some next time

Here's some crappy pics. Some of these may be the same fish?? I do remember at least one being bigger than the rest.

Hey, I got to thinking - what would happen if you tried jug fishing for king mackeral? Might be hard to run the jugs down LOL, ya think?
