I have wondered why nobody did that. Doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to do.

From my research it's not as easy as it looks. I was going to do something like that with mine, but with a Johnson which should be easier since the Sea Drive is OMC... Anyway, a number of things need to fit just right for it to work and a few modifications are in order as well. The more experienced guys can elaborate...
