Default Weight and Packaging for Lower Unit?
Hey guys,

I'm in the process of parting out my 84 Evinrude 185. I got the lower unit off and drained the oil. Before I put it up on Ebay, I need to know the weight of this baby to determine shipping charges.

I did the scale thing, but I'm not sure our scale is calibrated correctly. Anyway, the scale is readling somewhere between 45 and 50 pounds. Does that sound right?

Secondly, if and when the unit does sell, how does one go about packaging something like this? Keep in mind it has the shift rod and drive shaft sticking out the top...

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
