Well you have gone this far might as well keep going.
After you get all the wood out an the glass clean, glass all your new wood in, then throw in some Knee boards for extra support.
2 part foam can be had in most boat places, and on line.
Just one thing, be careful of foam, to much in a tight space it will push out and torque things out of wack! People have bubbled there floors with the stuff in the past!!
