The new engine will probably torque the hull in two. At the very least you're definitely looking at seperation of the stringers from the hull because there just isn't enough tabbing connecting them. Sorry man, but I think it's a lost cause.

What do you mean A project like this the boat had a V8 in it with a mercruiser the outdrive went bad so the guy that had it cut the hole bigger to put a volvo penta drive on it then he bought a trophy with no engine or lower unit so he pulled everything from the bayliner and put it in the trophy now the bayliner has a bigger hole in it and I need to fix the whole to put a mercruiser back on it
