Well I tested them out and they dont work very well. They still allow some water in, not as much as before, but the problem is that they dont let water flow out very well.
While hosing out the inside of the boat the water just trickles out.
I am going to have to regroup. I think I will try mounting the check valve at the elbow from the floor, maybe that will help, if not I'll go back to the "plug" method.
It looks like where they are mounted now, they make the water have to go too much up hill to get out.
