Like said, it cuts with any wood cutting tools! It will never rot and is nice and strong!

Starboard comes in a couple of different colors, most should be what you need.

Then there is Seaboard, same as Starboard but made for the food industry, Comes in a host of colors and is usually cheaper then Starboard, if you can find it in your area??

Comes in sizes 1/4 to 2" in size, full sheets are 54" X 96"

No it can't be painted, Nor can it be glued, has to be put toghter with hardware.

For your rod boxes if you looking to make covers and not need much more then that, I ould go with 1/4, but if you want to mount anything to them, I would go 1/2" But this stuff is tuff!! Even 1/4 won't break!

I have replaced all the wood in my boat, bulkheads, dash, tank covers, walls, all with Seaboard!
