And I have heard very mixed reviews of the material over the years, for durabilty mostly and also for resale.
I know for most guys, myself being one of them it is a unknown and I would not buy a boat with it because of that fact alone.
I have on the other hand seen boats who had their transoms and stringers redone by a pro and often they are better than the factory set up that came new on the boat.
