you start by pretending that the call never took place, when you have the oppurtunity to sit you bring up the topic again with her. You explain that just like when you met her it was an oppurtunity that you cannot walk away from. That whatever she has to be done you will take care of it, and that oppurtunities like this come around so seldom for working guys like you and that you will really regret it if you don't go. But if is something she just can't live with that you will pass on it if it that important to her.
And then leave the next move to her, drop the issue, take her upstairs and make her smile.
In the morning you will get a peck on the cheek and she will say you should go, if it does not come sooner.
