The good news I'm readin' into this is that yer deck drai/ scupper systems workin' GOOD...w/ no water in bilge and assumin' the floor-deck was clearing in an acceptable amount of time, you sound OK...


...however, several guys here (and I'm workin' on it) have fashioned a splash wall on the forward end of their splashwells to keep that kinda water intrusion outta the boat and confined to the splashwell...can't recall configuration of '82 transom...post up a pic and let's see how difficult it would be ;) ... I'm about to leave til Fri, but lotta these guys can tell ya what needs to be done...


This is why Full Transoms/brackets have caught on so well...and one of my biggest concerns about takin' my 20" tranny out in big water... ::) ...



Low-Cut...good on women's dresses...bad on boat trannies
