Default Re: MJ's V for sale!! Priced reduced Again!!

MJ, STOP!

If you haven't had at least half a dozen scammers willing to buy at your asking price with a personal check then you just are not doing a good enough job of advertising!

Most folks this time of year have no compelling reason to buy a boat. But a knowlegable and finacially capable buyer would definately be interested in your boat. How do you meet him? Doesn't ebay give you the opportunity to relist for free? The heck with their policy, put in email links and enticing wording that a deal can be worked out offline. They got your $40 bucks now get your bang. Get creative. Put the trailer up for sale contingent on the boat selling first. Put the boat on Craig's List @ $3000 w/o trailer, advertise motor seperate without a price. You may get someone with a piece 'O Crap boat looking to repower that will decide your package is an easier route. Waste their time instead of other way around. Don't second guess yourself. If a knowledgable buyer shows up you will know it and reach a happy medium.

When I had my $1000 boat up for sale I was averaging 4-5 calls a day for a couple of weeks... only one of them bought.
