I don't know....willy was pretty shady. ;D He only made me coffee and I spent about 3 hours at his house. By the way, I think willy lives in a nature preserve or something. I drove down his street and the deer stared at me as I drove by then there were a bunch in his back yard.
In any event I guess if I had an accident I would have been screwed.
My last task is to get the trailer registered in CT. They require a VIN verification where they want to find a VIN number on the trailer. Well, the VIN/serial number sticker is long since faded on the trailer. In that case they would issue a new VIN but would inspect the trailer and determine the gross weight for it. If they determine it to be >3000 lbs it would need brakes, which it does not have. (It was registered for 2990 in NJ)If they issue you a VIN they give you a sticker and suggest you have the VIN stamped into the metal on the trailer.....SO....I borrowed some letter and number metal stamps from the machine shop at work and plan to stamp in the VIN/SN so that they can feel good about verifying it when I bring it in to register it. Gotta love Connecticut DMV.....not.
