I'm no expert . . . but it looks like a three wire setup to me. All the two wire units I've seen have wires coming out of the motor like a cord to a lamp in your living room.
Spares is the pro here . . . I've got both 2 and 3wire setups in my garage right now. I was able to tilt a two wire style up and down (for ebay pics) just buy connect them to a battery pack. There may be different types of two wire setups . . . but that worked for me.
Up = (positive to positve, negative to negative)
and then reversing polarity to tilt down
Down = (negative to positive, positive to negative).

Forget what I said in the PM. I just look at my 3 wire deal in that garage and I'm 99.9% sure you have to pull the motor off the boat to get that trim motor off. Like airslot said you need clearance to get the motor out . . . removing the right side bracket sounds like an option, but I'm not sure it's any easier than pulling the motor.

Hopefully it's just a low battery, loose ground or bad relays.
