There appears to be plenty behind the HR dam too. *I think we were in 30 ft when we hit the boulders - did I mention these were boulders - not rocks *;D
Its a trip! *I'm scared to death of that place! *But that is the place to catch the stripers. *Not a bad catfishin hole either.
I did some research on how HR got the name High Rock. Before the lake was made (man made) the yadkin river ran where the dam is now. Tall Rock cliffs on each side earned it the name High Rock. Much of the rock cliffs are just under the surface of the water now.
