Thanks a lot everyone. I sure appreciate your help and I could not wait to measure the shaft as advised and I found out that it is closer to 20" than anythong else. The motor sits quiet low it seems. Maybe I don´t have a -88, but the most important thing is that I now know what to look for. As for the number of V20:s in Sweden is concerned; I got one which I bought two years ago in Stockholm, the former owner said he bought it new, in -88 or -89. I have not seen any other V20 on the westcoast where I keep mine, though I have seen at least two other boats, one with outboard and one with inboard motors in ads. But it is rare and in fact that is one of the reasons I like the V20 so much.
Thanks again and Reelapeelin; I have considered the E-tec and yet I have not excluded that one. Actually, I have only heard good things about it. We will see what happens!
