I don't see any evidence that the boat has been painted, other than the obvious bottom paint.

On my way out the door to work I looked at the area I did this morning and it actually looks pretty good, I guess the sun got in the right spot.

I think I'll do more with the 3M (it was free) and see how it goes. It really brought back the colors in the stripes.
