Well thats my thought, you really would not have enough room for the tilt.
You can see in there pic's that the motor is almost out of the water but not all the way.
If you leave your boat in the water this is going to mean that there will be more maintains involved with the lower unit as stuff will grow in there.

But for the amount of work there is in repairing the transom you might as well just add a regular bracket.

With a flotation bracket all you have to do in a Seadrive conversion is make a plate up to cover the hole and thur bolt it on, The new bracket will cover it up and you will never see it any way.
