Milk crates, the building blocks of the universe. *These are stone crap traps. *You can buy real traps *for about $10. but I was trying to get by till i go back to the keys to buy some more.
Pour 1" of sak crete in the bottom
build a slatted top out of pt. *the entry is a 4" pvc coupler cut in half
I use zip ties to hold the lids on, that way I know if somebody has been into it

tie a rope on with a bouy
Throw in water & wait for dinner to crawl in.
I usually bait with fish heads and skins or pigs feet.
The bouy has to have a R on it to identify it as a recreational trap, not commercial

It is not cost effective to do this, but all of my traps were stolen in the early season, I was just making do till next year
