welcome back cbuzz!! I've been watching a few yamaha's off ebay. Seems like the 90 and newer engine (with the updated cowling . . . go figure) are getting a little better price than the 84 - 89 even though the 90 - 92 engines still had the carbon steel shift shaft and corrison issues associated with the non saltwater series yamahas. If I remember correctly your boat had very light use and was garaged (i.e. well cared for). So you should be closer to $2500 - $2800
Fugazi - seemed to be disappointed with the performance of his Johnson 4 stroke 140. He mentioned that the economy was great and the engine was super quiet, but the acceleration and top end was less than his old 2 stroke 140.
Might be worth checking into the new yamaha 150 4 stroke or the 200 HPDI (same weight as the 150hpdi)
