Default Re: Value of used outboards

Well I got $1500 to $2000 ???

I will tell you that I bought a 1989 Yamaha 175 hp with controls, remote oil tank, cables, wire harness, two years ago and I paided $1800
I feel that I got a good deal even so I had to do a little work to it.
Did you ever replace the shift rod since you bought it ?? That is a big $$ Item when they go if you can't do your self and that will Be a great Boost for a selling point!!
If not that might be a draw back when you sell??

Mine broke the 1st season and thank god the guy I bought mine from worked on them all the time and did it for $300. By what I hear it is like a $700 to $1000 job.

Any how I would say if it is pretty and you give all the stuff with it ask $2300 or so and grab anything $1800 or better. IMO

Good Luck!!
