funny i asked the same question before and was told to turn a 15 17 inch prop and it is a excellant size for the150 merc
try it you will like it i used to turn a 13 1/4 x 19 s.s. and would suck air alot and the top speed was about 28 mph now i get top speed about 32 mphand no cavition
