That club BTW, was started by a local guy when he was in Spartanburg High School in the mid-sixties...his name was Toy Caldwell...had several bands over the years and eventually founded The Marshal Tucker Band...I used to go watch 'em practice in a little building downtown...turned out it was formerly owned by a blind piano tuner named...Marshal Tucker ;) ...
