I think I found the answer to my own question. It's amazing what you can find in these manuals when you look long enough!
1-purple
2-black
3-gray
4-tan/yellow stripe
5-tan/black stripe
6-tan
7-tan/orange stripe
8-tan/blue stripe
I hope all my wires match these descriptions :-[ I won't know till tomorrow...
