Don't baby that engine too much. Running at WOT allows the engine to properly seat the rings. The engines that come in to my shop with the most problems are engines that are used for a lot of trolling and hardly ever see WOT. All 4 strokes will "make oil" to some degree or another (Yammies, which I absolutely love, are somewhat notorious for that) and engines that are never opened up will make more than those that are run at WOT on a regular basis. I'm not saying to beat the crap out of your engine but don't go the other way either and take it easy thinking that you are being gentle on you engine.
By the way, what prop are you running on that? I just repowered a V20 with a 140 Zuke and I need a good prop stating place.
